There is a lot more to this mural but there were cars parked in front of it. I plan to go back some early morning and shoot the rest. There are plenty of new restaurants along Harrison Street in Downtown Hollywood and finding a good meal seemed more important. In fact new eateries may be my next theme.
When I walked under this mural looking up I had no idea what it was. Just a bunch of lines. Then I crossed the street and found the Mona Lisa staring at me. For more information on this mural [click here]
I located these murals at the Ramada on Harrison Street in Downtown Hollywood. I don't see much about them on the Downtown Hollywood Mural Project site. Maybe someone can help me out here with some comments.
I guess it's been longer than I thought since I've taken a walk in Downtown Hollywood. Even longer since I brought a camera along. Here are bits and pieces of a very large mural by Eddie Mendieta. I was impressed with the detail so instead of just shooting the whole wall I thought I would highlight a few of the individual elements. There are several other murals I was surprised to find and I will bring them to you later in the week.
Every Monday night in downtown Hollywood the food trucks circle the Arts Park. So many to pick from but since this Cheeseburger Baby took the time to pose, this is where I ate. The Philly Cheese Steak was the best. See the rest of the menu at Cheeseburger Baby
